2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Start Broadcasting 2019-09-01 00:00:00   source:

On August 31, 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup officially kicked off in China.

This time, 32 teams including the host Chinese team participated in the competition. Among them, three teams from sub-Saharan Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Senegal, were divided into Group A, Group B and Group H respectively.

As the fastest growing and most influential digital TV operator in Africa, StarTimes owns the exclusive broadcasting rights of this year's Basketball World Cup in the Pan-African region. During the period from August 31st to September 15th, the sports channel of StarTimes will live broadcast FIBA matches through four Pan African Channels, Sports Premium, Sports Life, Sports Focus and Sports Arena, and two South African Channels, Sports 1 and Sports 2.

In addition to the English commentary, StarTimes also invited professional basketball commentators from Guinea to give French commentary on key events, in order to meet the needs of audiences from different countries and areas in Africa.

During the group matches from August 31st to September 5th, Sports Channel of StarTimes will also send three reporting teams to shoot and report on the training and preparations of these three African teams in three cities in China, Beijing, Wuhan and Dongguan. African audiences will be able to watch the first hand information from the scene.
